Card type
Character
Stays on the field. Power fights power. KO’d Characters go to the trash.
- What it does
- Your crew on the board. They attack, they can block, and they carry DON!! as extra power.
- When you play it
- On your turn, during Main, if you can rest enough DON!! to pay the cost in the top-left. They usually cannot attack the turn they enter.
- Beginner trap
- Attacking with a Character you just played, or leaving a blocker rested so it cannot rest again to block.
Characters are the cards you will see most. Cost in the corner, power on the bottom, effects in the box. When two cards battle, the higher power wins — ties KO both unless a card says otherwise.
Most Characters have summoning sickness: they cannot attack the turn you play them. They can still use some effects, and they can block next turn if they are standing.
Blocker is a keyword you will learn fast. A standing Character with Blocker can rest to jump in front of an attack. People lose games because every blocker is already rested from attacking.
When a Character is KO’d it goes to the trash. Some effects recur them. DON!! attached to a KO’d Character return to the cost area rested — you do not lose the DON!!, you lose the body.
